Your photos made me cry because they are so beautifully done. You have a knack for capturing the human essence.
Gerben and I absolutely love your photos that you took for us.
This I will write in English so Shannon and her family can enjoy this blog too.
Sometimes, I get last minute requests to photograph a wedding. Well… this was really a last minute request. One week before the wedding, I received a phone call from Gerben, and they needed a wedding photographer. So, we met a day later and after a really nice meeting, I was really excited for this wedding.
Gerben started getting ready at his dad’s house and Shannon got ready in the house were they first lived together. So although their first house was empty, this was really significant for them. Shannon was very nervous but everything was okay when she finally saw Gerben waiting on the bridge in front of the house.
After a fun photoshoot at the Dijkveld-stol farm where Gerben works, we went to world heritage Schokland where the wedding took place. The ceremony was beautiful and there was a tractor ride to the southern point of Schokland afterwords which was a lot of fun! Same as the small photoshoot we did overthere.
At dinner time, it was time for me to leave, but it was a amazing day and I’m really grateful to be part of this.
